The Escala is based on the same platform as the Cadillac CT6, but is six inches longer, making it a few measurements and design lines closer to the glorious flagship Cadillac sedan we’ve been clamoring for. Oh yea, it has a “prototype” 4.2 liter twin-turbo V8.
So that’s a RWD V8 Cadillac that looks like a RWD V8 Cadillac should. Mm.
While I wouldn’t call the design a radical departure from the current look, especially the current CTS, it’s definitely a sharper look that does another layer of smoothing-over the now-familiar Cadillac look.
